LEINSTER SUPPORTS IYF!
03 September 2013
We are delighted to announce that Leinster Rugby have chosen the Irish Youth Foundation and ARC Cancer Support Centre as the province's official community partners for the 2013/14 season. Here is a picture of our volunteers selling cookies in the RDS at the Leinster V Northhampton game. Our cookie sales have generated over 1200 Euro for the IYF!
The IYF will benefit this season through the likes of themed events, support of fundraisers, provision of signed merchandise, complimentary tickets and by helping to raise awareness amongst Leinster supporters and the wider public.
Niall McLoughlin, IYF Director of Development said, “We are delighted and very grateful for this opportunity to partner with Leinster Rugby and Arc Cancer Support Centre for the 2013/14 Season. Leinster gets amazing support from all around the Province, and this is a fantastic opportunity for us to let those supporters know about the work being done in each county to help children facing very challenging circumstances.
“Our hope is that this partnership will increase the awareness of the Irish Youth Foundation, and the work that we do, specifically among Leinster supporters.
“We are very grateful for the valuable support that Eoin Reddan gives as an active Board Member, and also that of his teammates (Leo Cullen, Brian O’Driscoll and Rob Kearney) by attending our fundraising events.
“The IYF is active in each county in Leinster. We will use this opportunity to communicate (via Leinster website, their match programmes, Personal Appearances from the players etc.) the work that is being done and to raise more funds for our projects especially those in Leinster.”
Commenting on the news, Leinster Manager Guy Easterby said: "We're delighted to announce our two new Community partners for the coming season. The team are excited about working alongside ARC Cancer Support Centre and the Irish Youth Foundation and we are looking forward to assisting them with their fundraising and promotional efforts.
